Pepsi was first introduced in 1893 by Caleb Bradham under a different name, “Brad’s Drink.” The drink was renamed to Pepsi-Cola in 1898 and shortened to Pepsi in 1961. The product picked up popularity in the mid 1930s and grew into the worldwide brand known today.
